Pinwheels for Prevention
More than a reminder — it’s a movement.
In 2008, Prevent Child Abuse America® launched the Pinwheels for Prevention® campaign as a grassroots effort for individuals and organizations across the U.S. to take action. The campaign promotes healthy child development while raising awareness to prevent child abuse and neglect—before it ever happens. The pinwheels represent the joyful, happy, healthy childhoods every child has a right to. Thrive Virginia will have pinwheels displayed at the following locations:
- Charles City County Department of Social Services
- New Kent County Department of Social Services
- New Kent Health Department
- Charles City Elementary School
- Charles City Social Center
- Charles City Gym Complex
Thrive Virginia uses person-centered and collaborative services to empower those fighting poverty to achieve individualized prosperity and community connections.
